Recognizing Changemakers: Annual Awards Highlight Civic Leaders
The Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee (CCTT) honors three outstanding community leaders each year through a vote among its more than 45 partners. The awardees are recognized for their work in health, access, and opportunity. The 2025 recipients include:
- Craig Rowe received the Chris Ballin Award for advancing cultural competency and educational access;
- Isabel Lopez was honored with the Public Service Award of Excellence for her decades of compassionate service through Nevada County Health and Human Services; and
- Dr. Annamarie Cohen was named Partner of the Year for her leadership and advocacy on behalf of students and underserved communities within TTUSD.
Each honoree reflects a deep commitment to service, collaboration, and care for the Tahoe-Truckee community. As a program of Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF), CCTT brings together more than 45 local organizations to address complex community needs through partnership, shared learning, and data-informed action. It is an honor to assist the Tahoe Truckee community. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside all of our partners and friends to improve our community and meet its needs. I am also grateful for those who nominated me and motivate me every day, and for my family who always supports me in my ideas and achievements; I will continue helping and being there for my community in whichever way I can.

A Community Invitation to Drink Differently in Tahoe Truckee
Zero Proof, For You is a community-inspired initiative inviting people to rethink alcohol culture and drink more intentionally. The idea emerged after a June 2024 screening of Feel It All, featuring professional skier and mental health advocate Drew Petersen. Post-film conversations revealed a shared desire amongst community members for healthier ways to cope, connect, and unwind in a region where alcohol is often woven into daily life.
Zero Proof, For You is a program of The Speedy Foundation and was funded by a grant from the Katz Amsterdam Charitable Trust in partnership with Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF). The initiative is part of the Regional Mental Health Roadmap, developed by TTCF and CCTT partners with a grant from Katz Amsterdam.

In a place where tourism fuels a drink-all-day culture, locals often absorb the same patterns without the reset visitors get when they leave. Zero Proof, For You is about giving people permission to pause, reset, and choose what feels right – for today and tomorrow.
