Honoring a Legacy, Building Community
The Juniper Awards, established through the Jeff Hamilton Legacy Fund, honor individuals who embody the values Jeff held closest: commitment, fearlessness, and imagination. Named after the juniper trees Jeff admired for their ability to grow strong roots through solid granite, the awards recognize recipients across six categories. The awards celebrate community leaders in fields ranging from public service and the arts to healthcare and winter sports, recognizing impact rooted in character rather than accolades.
Through the Jeff Hamilton Legacy Fund, Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF) helps carry forward this legacy. Through this partnership, TTCF supports a lasting tribute that recognizes character, lifts up others, and ensures Jeff’s impact continues to be felt across Tahoe-Truckee for years to come.
Jeff wanted to award characteristics, not accomplishments, and so we brainstormed hundreds of words. We landed on commitment, fearlessness, and imagination.
