Achievable Housing for All Lunch & Learn: A Deep Dive into Affordable Housing

TTCF’s Lunch and Learn Series is focused on the continuum of housing needs, and this lunchtime event takes a deep dive into affordable housing as one solution to the housing crisis. Help us kick off Affordable Housing Month—a time to highlight the need for safe, stable, and affordable homes for all families and individuals in our region, including those who are most at risk of homelessness or displacement. Our featured speaker, Denisse Vega Zarate, Housing Coordinator at Sierra Community House, will discuss their organization’s work to help community members in need of housing and how their work protects the vibrancy of our community.

Presenters: Denisse Vega Zarate, Housing Coordinator at Sierra Community House. Experts from Placer County, Town of Truckee, and North Tahoe Truckee Homeless Serviceswill also be present to answer questions during the hour’s Q+A session.

TTCF is bringing back our four-part Nonprofit Board Governance Series. Designed for existing board members and emerging leaders, this series has graduated more than 200 people. TTCF believes that behind every successful nonprofit sits a strong and productive board of directors. The role of board member is one of the most influential volunteer positions in the nonprofit community, and an opportunity to serve a mission to which one is truly dedicated. Save the date. From knowing your evacuation routes from your work, school, and home, to packing your go-bags, preparing for wildfire season provides peace of mind. This salon will also share where to get the most reliable information during a wildfire event and how to report needs and information to the proper authorities. Hosted in partnership with the Tahoe Truckee COAD (Community Organizations Activate in Disaster). Spanish interpretation will be provided. More information coming soon.
